LIFE / STYLE: The Farmers Market

One of the things we look forward to most about summertime is outdoor Farmers Markets! Claire and I both live within walking distance of the Logan Square Farmers Market here in Chicago and we try to make it there most every weekend. Our market, as farmers markets are want to do, is overflowing with local organic produce, fresh baked breads and pastries, and artisanal cheeses. We like to grab an iced coffee and spend hours wandering booth to booth and laying around in the grass just outside the market people watching. It's pretty much the perfect way to spend a summer Sunday morning!

The flower selection at the market is absolutely outrageous. I can never resist picking up a bouquet or two. And there's a booth that sells bite sized apple cider donuts. They make them right there in front of your face and hand them to you pipping hot in a little brown paper sack. Oh man, these donuts! But let's get real here, the best part about the farmers market is the abundance of adorable dogs to pet and the army of cute babies decked out in waaay too fashionable outfits. If you're in the area and happen to see us at the market chowing down on donuts or admiring baby fashion, make sure you stop and say hi!
