This summer has been such a funny one for us here in Chicago. With the unseasonably cool temperatures and all the rain, it's felt a bit more like the Pacific Northwest not the Midwest. Don't get us wrong, we're not complaining. We've loved the mild weather, but c'mon summer...throw us a scorching hot sweltering sort of day! Just one. Please?
After an afternoon rain storm mid week this past week, things got particularly muggy. We took full advantage and high tailed it over to Miko's Italian Ice to cool off. Miko's is nothing more than a darling little walk up window serving about a dozen flavors of fresh made italian ice. And that's it. Nothing fancy. But the italian ice is sooo good it's the perfect place to channel some serious summertime vibes.
