There's just something about planning a vacation that we absolutely love. I mean, of course we adore the actual vacation part. But it's the hours spent researching unique places to visit and charming places to stay before we even embark on the adventure that really get us going. There are so many darling alternatives to the run of the mill roadside motels and we can't wait to stay in them all! Ever slept in a tree house? Thought about staying in an Airstream hotel? What about a Tipi or a yurt? Below we're sharing a few lodgings that top our list of "can't wait to visit".

Adult summer camp? Ok! Camp Wandawega is equal parts Dirty Dancing charm and Wes Anderson magic.

Marfa, Texas and El Cosmico are first on our must visit list. At this nomadic hotel you can pick your shelter: yurt, teepee, tent, or vintage trailer.

Kitschy adorable hotels are right up our alley. California is home to both the Madonna Inn and The Saguaro and are both on our radar.

We've never been to Utah, but after seeing beautiful secluded places like the Amangiri and Moab Under Canvas, we might just pack it up and head west tomorrow.

Brooklyn does cowboy chic with Urban Cowboy. Stay in a room called Vision Quest or The Dream Catcher. We're dying visit this urban jungle oasis.
